Cookie and storage notice

A clear choice before optional analytics.

This notice explains what stays on your device, what is necessary for the marketplace, and what happens only after you allow analytics.

Your choice

Optional analytics is off until you choose Allow analytics. Use necessary only is available with equal prominence, the marketplace remains available either way, and no option is selected in advance.

Your choice is stored on this device for 180 days whether you allow or refuse analytics. Use the Privacy choices control on any page to change or withdraw it at any time. When the notice materially changes, its version changes and you will be asked again.

Necessary cookies and local storage

Local Finds uses limited browser storage requested by you or needed to operate and secure the marketplace. Blocking it can prevent sign-in or remove device-only preferences.

  • Better Auth session cookies: keep a signed-in web session secure until sign-out or session expiry.
  • local-finds-consent-v1: records the privacy notice version, analytics choice, and timestamps for 180 days.
  • local-finds-locale: remembers the selected interface language until it is changed or browser storage is cleared.
  • local-finds-results-width: remembers the desktop list and map split until browser storage is cleared.
  • local-finds-recent-searches: keeps up to five recent searches on this device until they are cleared from search or browser storage.
  • local-finds-saved-finds: keeps device saves and supports account favorite synchronization until items or browser storage are cleared.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile may use strictly necessary security storage when bot protection is configured and a protected action is used.

Optional Plausible analytics

After analytics consent, Local Finds loads the consent-gated Plausible enhanced-measurement bundle from analytics.infront.cy in manual-pageview mode. Plausible sets no analytics cookies or persistent browser identifiers. Page context is limited to allowlisted public paths after removing query strings and fragments.

On those public pages, Plausible records pageviews and may record an outbound-link click or file-download click with the destination URL. The delivered bundle supports tagged events, page properties, and revenue values, but Local Finds does not currently configure those measurements.

Private account, credential, request, message, notification, saved-item, seller-management, and moderator routes do not produce analytics events. Search terms, account IDs, request IDs, message content, and exact handover information are not sent.

Google Consent Mode v2

Local Finds initializes Google Consent Mode v2 before optional tags. Analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, and personalization storage default to denied. Necessary functionality and security storage signals are granted.

No Google Analytics or Google advertising tag is currently configured. If one is added later, it must remain blocked until the matching consent is granted and this notice must be updated. Advertising-related signals remain denied because Local Finds does not use behavioural advertising.

Third-party sign-in and security

Google, Facebook, or Apple sign-in is contacted only when that provider is configured and you choose its sign-in action. Those providers may use their own necessary cookies or storage under their privacy terms. Cloudflare provides hosting and optional Turnstile bot protection.

Change, withdraw, or clear a choice

Open Privacy choices, change the analytics switch, and select Save choices. Withdrawal takes effect immediately for future events. Plausible does not place an analytics cookie to delete. Clearing browser storage removes the saved choice and device-only preferences, so the first-visit notice will return.
