Operator and privacy contact

Local Finds identifies Stefanos P. as the current pilot operator and controller contact. Email hello@localfinds.cy for privacy rights, account access, safety, or correction requests.

Information you provide

We store account details such as your name, email address, linked sign-in methods, profile status, listings, requests, reports, blocks, and passkey public credentials. A passkey private key remains on your device or in your platform credential manager.

• Listing photos are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket.
• Marketplace and account records are stored in Cloudflare D1.
• Passwords are stored only as password hashes by Better Auth.

Location privacy

Public listings use an approximate area coordinate, not a handover address. Exact meeting or delivery details are stored separately and are returned only to the buyer and seller after a request is accepted. Do not put private addresses in public descriptions or photos.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the website, Worker, database, images, and bot protection. When Turnstile bot-protection checks run on sign-in and other sensitive actions, Cloudflare processes limited device and interaction data under its Turnstile Privacy Addendum: https://www.cloudflare.com/en-gb/turnstile-privacy-policy/. Stripe processes voluntary service-support and sponsorship payments on Stripe-hosted pages. After you allow analytics, a self-hosted Plausible Analytics service at analytics.infront.cy provides aggregate website statistics. If you choose a social sign-in, the selected provider processes that sign-in under its own privacy terms. Local Finds does not sell personal information or use behavioural advertising.

Support payment records

When you voluntarily support Local Finds, Stripe collects the payment and contact details needed to process it under Stripe’s privacy terms. Local Finds stores the contribution amount, currency, status, purpose, time, and Stripe reference for accounting, reconciliation, refunds, and fraud handling. Local Finds does not receive or store full card or bank details.

Public funding reports contain aggregate amounts and published operating costs without supporter names, contact details, or Stripe references. A sponsor name or website is published only after separate written approval.

Aggregate website analytics

With your consent, Local Finds uses Plausible to understand overall traffic on public marketplace and information pages. The integration sends the public page path without query strings or fragments and may record outbound-link and file-download clicks with the destination URL. Account, request, message, notification, saved-item, seller-management, moderator, and password routes are excluded.

Plausible does not set analytics cookies or create persistent identifiers. It processes request information such as IP address and browser details to produce daily aggregate visitor, device, browser, referral, and coarse location statistics, but raw IP addresses and full user-agent values are not stored. The analytics are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Consent and withdrawal

Optional analytics is off until you make a clear choice. Allow and refuse actions have equal prominence, the marketplace works without analytics, and no optional setting is selected in advance. The choice is kept on this device for 180 days whether accepted or refused.

Use the Privacy choices control on any page to change or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future analytics events immediately. The cookie and storage notice lists the current browser storage and consent signals in more detail.

Your data protection rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive personal data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.

Email hello@localfinds.cy from the address connected to your account and describe the request. Local Finds may ask for proportionate identity verification, will not ask for your password, and will respond under the deadlines that apply to the request. The current account export and closure tools do not replace these procedures.

Retention and choices

Records are kept while needed to operate, secure, and moderate the marketplace. You can sign out individual devices, remove passkeys, unblock accounts, and ask for account closure. Some moderation and security records may need to be retained for a limited period.
